Butte fosters a deep connection to the landscape enhanced through recreational, educational, and intellectual opportunities.
The Village @ Mt. Crested Butte is nestled just south of the Snodgrass Trail, sandwiched between the last few hundred feet of the paved Gothic Road and the forests flanking the side of Snodgrass Mountain to the west.
• Reduce density from prior annexation amendments
• Maintain viewsheds
• Provide gathering spaces and a dynamic/active project site with year-round activities
• Support Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory (RMBL) vision
• Provide an extensive and integrated trail system
• Provide opportunity and space for publicly-driven benefits that were identified through extensive community feedback: workforce housing, enhanced trails, and flexibility for civic spaces.
